Gleb Savchenko isn't dancing around his decision to end his romance with Brooks Nader.

The Dancing With the Stars pro explained his controversial breakup method, saying that putting his thoughts into words made it easier for him to convey his message to his former dance partner.

"There's a lot of things," Gleb told TooFab at the inaugural Gurus Awards Nov. 12. "Sometimes you can be mixed up in a conversation. So I always like to write everything down."

He added, "When I wrote that down, it felt like it was perfect, because the moment you start a conversation, you might get lost, so it's better to just write it down."

The 41-year-old also revealed that he has not been in contact with the Sports Illustrated model since their split.

"We haven't spoken," he shared. "I really actually do miss her because she's the vibe. She's a really cool person. And I had the best time. When you asked me if I had the best time on the season, absolutely. This is one of my best seasons."
