A man wielding a steak knife killed four members of his extended family in Queens, New York City. The incident was reported by a girl in the Far Rockaway neighborhood. The suspect, a 38-year-old, stabbed two police officers who responded to the scene, but was shot dead by one of the officers. The suspect had a history of domestic violence. The police had to wait for the fire department to arrive before entering the home, as the suspect had set fire to a couch.
