The Hollywood star Jane Fonda, who has long been known for her radically liberal views, has shockingly revealed that if she were ever to date again, it would have to be a man who is only 20 years-old.
Fonda Would Only Date 20 Year-Olds
“I’m ashamed to say this, but if I were to take a lover, he’d have to be 20,” Fonda, 85, said while appearing on the comedian Heather McMahan’s “Absolutely Not” podcast on Tuesday.
“Now, why specifically 20?” asked McMahan, 36, to which Fonda responded, “Because I don’t like old skin.”
“I’m right there with you,” McMahan replied with a laugh. “I’m doing everything I can to keep it fresh.”
Unfortunately for Fonda, however, social media users were left disturbed by her comments, according to The New York Post.
“20? I’m not even half her age and I think 20 is too young for my age,” one user commented, with another adding, “Nah this shouldn’t be normalized.”
“What about if the 20 year old doesn’t like old skin?” commented a third user.

“Spiritually and mentally and psychologically, I’m way younger,” Fonda said last year. “One of the things that I’ve learned as I’ve gotten into serious old age is when you’re inside it as opposed to looking at it from the outside, it’s not nearly as scary.”
Fonda has long been open about being interested in younger men.
20 year-olds everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief, however, as Fonda told Harper’s Bazaar in 2021 that she doesn’t want to be in a “sexual relationship” again.
“I don’t want to be in a relationship, a sexual relationship, again. I don’t have that desire,” Fonda said at the time.
Fonda was quick to add that she still has sexual fantasies, specifically ones involving a younger man.
“Do I fantasize? Yes, here’s my fantasy. I’ll just put it out there,” she said. “That I meet a professor or a researcher, somebody in that line who is really capable of loving, of cherishing a woman, so that I could test myself and see if I could show up.’
“I think maybe now I could, but the problem is that, like a man, I would want a younger man,” Fonda added. “Isn’t that awful? It’s a thing about skin. I would want a younger man, and I’m too vain.”
Fonda went on to explain that she is physically repulsed by men in her age group.
“One of the painful things that I’ve realized by 80 — I don’t even know how old I am — 83, and single now. What I’ve had to really think about is that I’m not really capable [of intimacy],” Fonda revealed.
“It’s not them. It’s me,” she continued. “If a guy had come along and said, ‘Come on, Fonda, show up,’ I would have run away scared. I was attracted to men who never would have done that to me because they couldn’t necessarily show up themselves. I didn’t know that at the time, but now I know. I don’t think I can do anything about it now, but that’s the truth, as Lily [Tomlin] would say. That’s the truth.”
