The head of Unicef has referred to the Gaza Strip as the most dangerous place in the world to be a child. Over 5,300 children have reportedly been killed in Gaza since Hamas' attack on Israel in October. Unicef's executive director called for an urgent humanitarian ceasefire to stop the carnage and highlighted the extreme risks faced by children in Gaza due to living conditions. The head of the UN Population Fund also drew attention to the plight of pregnant women in Gaza.
