Growing up in Pakistan, I had grown tired of familial expectations, especially around the Eid holidays. I moved to London and was looking for a chance at a new life, but I ended up reconnecting with the spirit of my childhood Eid celebrations when I introduced my new friends to the holiday and the celebratory foods.
