Sandalwood actor Ranya Rao was arrested at Bengaluru airport with 14kg of gold bars, leading to her remand in judicial custody. Her father, senior IPS officer DGP K Ramachandra Rao, distanced himself from her activities. Authorities suspect she is part of a larger smuggling network.
