
NEW DELHI: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 16-year-old boy in Southeast Delhi's Govindpuri.
Police received information at 12.30 pm on February 22. The woman told the police that she was at home with her mother when her nine-year-old daughter returned from school and later went out to play.
At 2.30pm, she was informed that her daughter was crying and that a boy had done something wrong. The woman and her mother immediately went outside and found her daughter in the street, visibly distressed.
"Upon inquiry at home, the victim alleged that the boy forcibly sexually assaulted her," police said, adding that a case was registered and the boy was apprehended.
