While the match lacked drama overall, one moment ignited frustration among Indian fans: Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed's send-off directed at Shubman Gill, who had previously scored a century against Bangladesh. This incident sparked a flurry of reactions on social media.

On the third ball of the 18th over, Abrar bowled a quick leg-break and ended up squaring a well-set Gill. The absolute ripper beat Gill's defence, and his stumps were dislodged.

As the Pakistan supporters celebrated, Abrar, seemingly, signalled to Gill to walk back to the dressing room. Kohli's reaction at the non-striker's end was priceless as he looked amazed by the delivery that brought about end of Gill's 46-run stay in 52 balls.

Though Gill couldn't build on his start, Kohli's exceptional batting led India to victory and effectively secured their spot in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Abrar became a target for online mockery, with fans not only trolling him but also creating memes about the incident.
Kohli lived up to his reputation as a 'chase master' and was the mastermind behind Pakistan's downfall. He slammed an unbeaten 100 off 111 balls, laced with seven fours. Virat figured out the perfect route to victory and helped India chase down 242 runs.
This was Kohli's sixth century in ICC ODI events and his first in the ICC Champions Trophy.
