Russia has expressed shock at the Israeli ambassador's statement that it could take up to two weeks to evacuate Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip. The Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman called the logic unacceptable and stated that Russia had followed all the necessary procedures for submitting evacuation lists. Over 500 Russian citizens, including 300 minors, are waiting to be evacuated from the blockade in Gaza. No Russians have been confirmed as having left Gaza since the reopening of the Rafah checkpoint on November 1.
