A banner asking residents to clean up after Diwali celebrations in Singapore will be taken down to avoid misunderstanding, according to a parliamentarian. The banner was put up by the Mountbatten Residents' Network to address the issue of litter left behind after the festival. However, it was misconstrued as targeting a particular race. Another banner with a festive message will remain.
