The ceasefire truce between Hamas and Israel was extended by two days, raising hopes for prolonged relief in war-ravaged Gaza Strip. Qatar, mediating the truce talks, announced the extension and the release of more hostages by Hamas. Israel will reciprocate by freeing more Palestinian prisoners. Hamas has also offered to release all hostages in exchange for Israel releasing all Palestinian prisoners. Israel's military expressed concern about giving Hamas more time to regroup and rebuild its capabilities.
