Nagpur: A 27-year-old woman was lured by a 30-year-old man, identified as Nehal Patil, with promises of marriage and sexually exploited at different hotels by spiking her beverages. Patil also filmed her in the nude and in compromising positions.
Patil and the survivor had befriended each other on a matrimonial site around a year ago. After telephonic communications, the two started meeting at different places and began checking into hotels. Patil even went to meet the survivor's parents, expressing his desire to marry her.
After spending time at a hotel in Koradi, the two checked into a hotel at Mankapur, where he filmed her after spiking her beverage. Patil later refused to marry her and also manhandled her during a verbal spat. The survivor approached Koradi police to lodge a complaint against Patil, who was booked for rape.
